Baptism

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

(Matthew 28:19)

Baptism Preparation is designed to help parents and or guardians understand and enter fully into the Rite of Baptism and their lifelong responsibility in the development as primary catechist in the faith life of their child. Please contact Father John or the Parish office at least one month prior to the desired baptism time to check scheduled availability.

 

First Communion and Reconciliation

"Take you and eat, this is my Body." And taking the chalice He gave thanks and gave it to them saying, "Drink you all of this. For this is my Blood of the New Testament which shall be shed for many unto remission of sins."

(Matthew 26:26-28)

First Reconciliation and Communion are traditionally prepared for in the second grade Religious Education year. For a child to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation or First Eucharist he/she must complete the Sacramental Preparation classes. Instruction for children is incorporated into our Sunday Morning Religious Education classes. Reconciliation is celebrated in late November, and First Eucharist is celebrated in late April. Confirmation

"The fruit of that Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control"

(Gal 5:22)

Youth- Confirmation for youth takes place during the 8th/9th grade year(s), on a rotating 2 year schedule. (2016/17 school year is a Confirmation prep year) Instruction for youth is incorporated into our Sunday Morning Religious Education classes. Confirmation is celebrated with the Connersville Deanery in late spring. Contact Lawson in Religious Education office for more information.

Adult- Adults who have been baptized and received First Communion but have not yet been confirmed and are interested in going through Confirmation prep are encouraged to contact Father John for more information.

Marriage

“And the two shall become one flesh, so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”

(Mark 10:7-8)

Engaged couples must meet with Father to begin marriage preparation at least 6 months prior to the anticipated wedding date; Please Contact Father John or the Parish to set up an appointment.

 

 

Anointing of The Sick

“They drove out many demons, and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.”

(Mark 6:10)

This Sacrament is for the seriously ill, those scheduled for surgery, or the elderly. It can be scheduled by special appointment, please contact Father John at the parish office for more details or to schedule a visit.

Holy Orders

“They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.”

(Acts 2: 42)

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults/ Rite of Christian Initiation for Children

If you are interested in becoming Catholic, or would like more information on the Catholic Faith contact Father John in the Parish Office, 765-529-0933. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, or RCIA, is the name given to the process in which an adult joins the Catholic Church. RCIA classes at St. Anne are done on an individual bases and are done to fit the schedule and need of the individual. Rite of Christian Initiation for Children, or RCIC, is completed with coordination with our Sunday School Religious Education classes, and personal instruction.
